Ilion Animation Studios is looking for a Character Design Lead for a new animated feature.

Description:
The lead of character design works under the supervision of the Film Director and the Production Designer to lead the team of character designers in the creation of art assets, and maintains the established aesthetic of the characters through the production process. She/He sets the tone for character creation.

Main duties:
•   Conceptualizes the artistic style
•   Assist the Production Designer to oversee the development of the film characters by a team of character designers.
•   Monitors the creation of high-quality art assets, supplying enough information for 3D modeling developments.
•   Coordinates with modelling department to recreate designs in 3D
•   Assign the work to each artist, according to his or her skills.
•   Leads by example. Demonstrates, communicates and exemplifies clear expectations for quality of work, productivity, communication and professionalism to the team.

Qualifications:
•   5 or more years of experience as Lead in the animation industry.
•   Strong traditional drawing skills and artistic vision
•   Classical animation and Fine Arts background are ideal
•   Excellent organizational, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
•   Ability to share techniques.
