Our 3D Game Artist will be part of a team of talented artists and will work to create 3D assets and UI elements for a new game title as well as conceptualize and illustrate characters, environments, props, icons, and more. A successful candidate will be able to work both independently and as a team to quickly create high quality assets in any genre. The project is for the Roblox platform, a global platform that brings people together through play.
This position will be fully remote and you will be collaborating with team members located in the U.S.
? Knowledgeable and experienced in using blender low poly art 3D for the Roblox platform.
? Bachelor's Degree in Art preferred.
? Minimum 2+ years of experience in game development or art related field.
? Solid understanding of Photoshop and Illustrator.
? Some familiarity with the Unity game engine and best practices.
? Solid understanding of game creation processes & dependencies.
? Ability to work quickly to provide concepts and sketches as well the ability to develop fully rendered assets.
? Versatility and ability to illustrate, in any genre, characters, environments, props, icons, and more.
? Highly capable of creating a large volume of quality art within tight deadlines.
? Excellent ability to work in a team environment sharing concepts and ideas.
? Must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
? Positive, outgoing, solution-oriented individual with a passion for game development and a desire to work as a team on a common goal.
? Responsible for illustrating, optimizing, and exporting 3D assets.
? Create a wide variety of concepts and final assets including characters, props, vehicles, creatures, and environments.
? Collaborate with, art director, producers, engineers and game designers to help visualize and develop game designs and characters.
? Provide research and conceptual development ideas independently.
? Interacts with peers and/or managers to clearly communicate information related to assigned activities.
• This position is contract and is based on the length of the project, about 12-16 months.
