Birdland is an animation studio that produces and distributes kids content for all digital
and linear.
Born in 2018, the studio is currently in growth and expansion phase thanks to very
innovative processes for both production and distribution. There are currently 30 people
in Amuse, our partner studio in Paris, and 56 people located in the Canary Islands. All
are working on creating, producing and distributing over 20 original series. With over 500
millions views per month and a presence in 60 countries, we are currently positioned as
the leader of digital animation in Europe.
We are seeking an Creative Owner for online animated series. Preschool and/or Kids
content experience is a plus.


MISSION / RESPONSABILITIES


o Deliver high quality content in volume.
o Retake & validate all steps of production:
? Participate in storyboard revisions and provide clear notes for revisions.
? Review Art
? Review animatics.
? Review voice over.
? Review animation and Render:
? Be patient with providers… sometimes it’s difficult ?
? Don’t hesitate to repeat yourself and apply to the guidelines
? Make sure they animate the expressions and the eyes well
? Don’t hesitate to travel in Scale and read previous retakes!
? Review Sound Design.
? Make sure the music intentions are right
? Work closely with Music team
? Participate in the recruiting process with the Producer to review portfolios
and tests. Check tests of providers
? Thumbnails validations
o Provide department status updates, troubleshoot issues and review potential
changes on a regular basis with production staff.
o Support and cultivate positivity in the team.
o KPIs wathchtime (WT/Min).
o Create, improve and update guidelines.

Requisitos mínimos

SKILLS


o Strong drawing skills demonstrating storytelling, staging, character composition
and acting.
o Strong verbal and written communication skills.
o Animation knowledge: have a good understanding of the principles and
mechanics of animation
o Storytelling: understand what makes a good story and how to be able to convey
emotions, characters and action innovatively on screen in a narrative structure
o Leadership: share the vision of the IP with a range of people from different
departments, inspire them to do their best work, manage various creatives and
talent, make creative decisions
o Ability to respect deadlines with projects and maintain a strong team that
follows deadlines.
o Working knowledge of Shotgun software.
o Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
o English proficiency.
