Tequila Works is looking for a highly creative and motivated Technical/VFX Artist to join the team. We are open to candidates with a more technical profile and also to those that are more art focused. The successful candidate will be involved helping the team achieve the challenge of quality in our current games. He or she will also be involved in the content development process designing pipelines and effects.
We are based in Madrid and have the option of working at the studio and/or remotely.

VFX-related degree and/or comparable professional experience.
At least 2 years of experience in video games creating real-time, next generation games and at least 1 shipped game.
Must be a wizard with Unreal Engine.
Advanced knowledge of programming theory and Blueprints.
Complete understanding of 3D graphics principles and procedures.
Highly skilled with Adobe Package, Maya, and/or another 3D suites.
Competent with particle systems Niagara and/or Cascade.
Excellent communication and time management.
Computer programming/scripting experience is a plus.
Full professional proficiency in English, Spanish is a plus.
Understanding or experience with 2D VFX animation a plus
Populate the world with VFX, independently or together with your department, as well as Designers, Artists or Animators.
Implement desired visuals, including complex shader development, according to the game’s art style.
Create VFX shaders with node-based unreal material editor.
Create your own assets, textures, PBR materials, simulations, etc. to create outstanding VFX.
Troubleshoot and solve technical art production issues.
Work with the team to develop systems and tools to streamline art processes, workflows, and pipelines.
Participate in pre-production planning to determine and address technical design requirements and issues.
